Cosmetic Injectables
In addition to improvements of post-Mohs scars, Dr. Skelsey’s advanced surgical training allows her to offer procedures to correct sun damage, wrinkles, irregular pigmentation, scarring, uneven skin texture and birthmarks. These are FDA approved, minimally invasive treatments that help you to have beautiful, healthy looking skin at any age. These procedures include but are not limited to:
Botox®
A treatment for the temporary reduction of moderate to severe frown lines, crows feet, laugh lines and other facial wrinkles. Botox® treatment will give you a more relaxed, youthful appearance lasting for three to six months.
Hyaluronic Acid Fillers
Restylane®, Juvederm® — Natural cosmetic dermal fillers made of non-animal-based hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid attracts water which hydrates the skin and plumps up the wrinkle areas creating volume and density around the face. This procedure is used successfully to reduce bags under the eyes, and to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds such as the lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth (nasolabial folds). It is also used to replace lip volume that is lost as a consequence of the natural aging process. The results last eight to twelve months in most patients depending upon the amount administered.
Sculptra®
Sculptra® is a biostimulatory aesthetic injectable that helps stimulate your own natural collagen production to smooth facial wrinkles and improve skin tightness, revealing a refreshed-looking you. Sculptra® gradually helps restore your skin foundation, with results seen as early as 1 month after treatment and lasting up to 2 years, revealing natural-looking firmness and improved skin quality.
Sclerotherapy
A treatment for the removal of spider veins and smaller varicose veins. Veins are injected with a sterile chemical and eventually fade away completely. Blood circulation is carried out through healthy veins located deeper within the body, so the appearance is significantly improved. The results are permanent on the veins which are treated, although if new veins appear, they will require treatment.
